Homemade Hard Candy Suckers
Here’s a fun, easy, and cute Valentine’s Day idea for the kids. What kid doesn’t like suckers?
Suckers are really fun and quick to make and we have everything you need to make them. It’s always so nice to be able to customize things. When you make your own suckers, you get to choose the shape, the color, and the flavor.
Did you notice the pink ones? They’re opaque. How do you do that? White food coloring is the answer. Add the color you want your suckers to be, then just add a little white powdered food coloring (which we sell in our store) and it turns opaque. Pretty neat, huh?
We have the classic metal sucker molds that produce a nice, well-defined silhouette-type shape. We also have heat-resistant plastic hard candy molds, which allow you to make suckers of a more intricate design. And you’re not limited to hearts. We have so many different sucker molds. There’s something for every holiday and everything in between.
Oh! And let’s not forget packaging. We sell the cutest little clear bags. They measure 2 x 3 inches and are perfect for saving those suckers from moisture, lint, bugs, and whatever else might be attracted to them.
