Homemade Wheat Thins
Is everybody else sweeted out from all the holiday treats? Are you ready to turn a new leaf and have some savory snacks for New Year’s Eve? We have some super delicious crackers this week that would go perfectly with a cheese ball.
So, why bother making wheat crackers?
First of all, they’re healthier than the store-bought version. There are no preservatives and you can use freshly milled wheat or spelt flour.
Second, they’re a ton cheaper. One batch of these crackers costs about 30 cents.
Third, it will take you about as much time to make these as it would to jump in your car, drive to the store, and buy a box.
And fourth, you can customize them. Want less salt? Want to add different seasonings to the top for a different flavor? Want to add something like poppy or sesame seeds to the dough? It’s your game. You can do whatever you want to make them deliciously yours.
So bake up a batch or two for your New Year’s Eve festivities. You’ll be glad you did.
