Strawberry Bavarian Cream Puffs
Cream puffs. Just the thought of them might make the aspiring, novice home baker shudder and reel with feelings of inadequacy. Would you believe that we have found them to be one of the easiest things to make? Can you mix simple ingredients? Can you fill a piping bag? Can you use a cookie scoop? You are ready. Take a deep breath and get ready to make your very own cream puffs, which everybody will love and savor.
Strawberry Bavarian Cream Puffs
For the Cream Puffs
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup butter
Dash salt
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
2 eggs
For the Filling
1 cup Strawberry Bavarian Pastry Cream
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp unflavored gelatin
4 tsp water
Fill a pastry bag or a zip top bag fitted with a pastry tip or a small open star tip with the filling and squeeze into each cream puff. You may also cut the tops off of the cream puffs and spoon the filling in.
